Pernah pula menjadi Ketua Tim Internasionalisasi Unpad (2011-2012); Ketua Pusat Studi Australia, Universitas Padjadjaran; Pemimpin Redaksi Jurnal Ilmu Hukum Padjadjaran, Fakultas Hukum Universitas Padjadjaran; dan Tim Ahli Pemerintah dalam perancangan berbagai Rancangan Undang-Undang.
Sebagai aktivis, ia kenyang pengalaman dalam berorganisasi. Semasa mahasiswa, atip adalah Ketua Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Unpad; 1988-1989; Ketua Umum Pimpinan Pusat Pemuda Persatuan Islam (Persis); 1995-2000. Lalu Wakil Sekretaris ICMI Orwil Jawa Barat; 1995-2000;
Pernah pula menjadi President Monash Indonesian Islamic Society, Monash University – Australia; 1998-1999; Direktur LBH Persis; 2002 – 2008; President Indonesian Moslem Community in Victoria, Australia; 2005-2006;
